THE YOUTH MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
The purpose of The Youth Mentorship Program is to provide opportunities for young musicians to broaden their musical experiences and provide them with a glimpse of what life in the field as a professional might look like. Students will be assigned a Mentor who will provide a few specific goals and outcomes to be achieved through a one-on-one mentorship for an end of term recital. A students mentorship will also include rehearsals, lessons, attending concerts and introductions to other professionals in their field. The program is by audition and free upon acceptance.
The Youth Mentorship Program will foster lifelong commitments to the Arts through the sharing of stories and experience. It will strive to be unique from all other local programs, camps and schools and provide a range of experiences for young students.
The Youth Mentorship Program is open to young musicians between the ages 12 and 18 who are passionate about the following: Voice, Piano, Accordion, Strings, Brass, and Woodwinds.
