TCAC in 2025
The Township Community Arts Council (TCAC) is a non-profit community organization with a passion for creating growth and opportunity.
The mission of the TCAC is to engage our community and promote Esquimalt as a healthy arts and cultural centre recognized for its natural beauty and artistic excellence. We partner with artists and other volunteer groups to stage a wide variety of annual events and programs. We support local artists and promote the importance of arts and culture in terms of community well-being and economic activity.
We’re “Powered by Purples”, an enthusiastic group of volunteers that comprise our Board of Directors, event organizers, artistic directors and a legion of community members who give their time, imagination and dedication to arts and culture.
Events such as Memorial Park Music Fest, Bard Across the Bridge, Sculpture Splash! and many others bring people together for outdoor music, theatre, art exhibitions, en plein air paint-ins and sculpture extravaganzas. Our incredible parks and wide variety of oceanside locations provide stunning backdrops for these events in both fair and inclement weather.
Programs include Township Classics, a monthly world-class house concert series. Proceeds from ticket sales support our wildly successful Youth Mentorship Program. Gallery Splash! is located in our new Esquimalt Town Square. The gallery space is generously donated to the TCAC by developer, Aragon Properties.
The Township Community Arts Council is proud of our military and maritime associations, our partnerships with the Esquimalt Chamber of Commerce, Buccaneer Days, Esquimalt Farmers’ Market and many other community groups.
