Patrice Gibson - Sculptor/Painter/Prop Builder
Patrice Gibson attended Nova Scotia College of Art & Design. She left before completion of
her BFA to move to London ON for a unique position running a community art school. From
London ON, Gibson has lived and worked in all parts of Canada and some of the U.K. in the
arts, theatre and film. In Vancouver in the 80’s she apprenticed as a Jade Carver and was
internationally collected. Coming back to her art again, she has turned to painting and has
discovered oil bars and glazing and is having good fun with larger canvases and the beauty
of Vancouver Island. Patrice has relocated to Victoria B.C. from 10 years living and working
in Nova Scotia and plans on returning to her passion of sculpture as well as two dimension-
al work, and also some prop building for local theatre companies.
