​Morlene is the driving force behind the Township Community Arts Council (TCAC). With a proven track record within government, community leadership, and fiscal management, Morlene makes things happen. She created the TCAC to engage and enhance Esquimalt through the promotion of the arts and artistic potential in the community. As President, she leads strategic planning to establish TCAC’s goals and objectives. She leads compliance and fulfillment of our fiscal and legal responsibilities ensuring TCAC operates ethically, efficiently and effectively. As Board Chair, Morlene is responsible for the orderly operation of the Arts Council, budgeting, publicity, event management, sponsorships, and compliance with accepted best practice and statutory obligations. She acts as TCAC’s public representative and spokesperson to our members and the public.
