Born 1984, youngest of seven, I grew up painting & drawing consistently then began selling professionally in 1999. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the Alberta College of Art & Design in 2009.
Currently, I create inspired bodies of work in the coves of historic Esquimalt, on boating adventures, gem locations of the Gorge Waterway, harbours & beaches.
I prefer plein air painting with ‘golden acrylics’ using unconventional tools without the use of an easel. I play on a diverse range of dimensions, differentiating rhythmic designs that morph within a vacuum of detailed process.
In valuing organic movement and ideology, my aesthetics evolve as a visual diary evoking emotion, while provoking thought and memory. My hope for the viewer is that they maintain autonomy in what they see, that each painting can sustain a timeless versatility.
Majority of my works are to be hung in any direction the viewer sees fit.
