En tant qu’artiste abstrait, je peins à l’acrylique en expérimentant différentes techniques, outils et couleurs. J’affectionne particulièrement le couteau, le pinceau plat et les peintures métalliques. Ma démarche artistique relève du désir d’acquérir des connaissances pour mieux me rapprocher de mon style. Je cherche aussi et surtout à susciter chez l’autre les émotions que j’exprime dans chacune de mes créations. Je trouve mon inspiration dans la nature, la musique et l’actualité.
Pour cette exposition, j'ai choisi le thème Exploration (mot qui fonctionne autant en anglais qu'en français!) qui résonne en moi à bien des niveaux. Depuis que j'ai commencé à peindre, ça a été toute une aventure, un apprentissage, avec de nombreux hauts et bas, des frustrations mais aussi beaucoup de plaisir! J'apprends en expérimentant, essayant, échouant et en essayant à nouveau... Les toiles présentées sont une collection des divers chemins artistiques que j'ai expérimenté jusqu'à présent, en essayant différentes techniques, en utilisant des outils et matériaux variés.

As an abstract artist, I work with acrylic paints and experiment with different techniques, tools and colours. I particularly enjoy using a palette knife, flat brush, and metallic paints. My artistic approach stems from the desire to acquire knowledge in order to get closer to my style. Above all, I seek to arouse in others the emotions that I express in each of my creations. I am inspired by nature, music and what is happening in the world.

For this exhibition,  I chose the theme Exploration (a word that 'works' both in English and French!) which resonates with me on many levels. Since I have started to paint, it has been an adventure, a learning journey with lots of ups and downs, some frustration but also a ton of fun! I learn best by experiencing, trying, failing, and trying again...The artworks presented are a collection of the various creative paths I have taken so far, trying different techniques, using different tools and mediums. Thanks to the Esquimalt Township Community Arts Council for this opportunity.
